About Medallion

The Medallion is NDA’s student-run newspaper that incorporates news-worthy events in our school community with world-wide news to create a well-rounded online newspaper. Contributors from all grades are encouraged to attend brief meetings every other week, where ideas are exchanged and assignments are made for story reporting. Students combine news events with human interest pieces, sports updates, editorials, and artistic pieces to provide NDA with a unique and informative account of life at our school, as well as around the world. Through the newspaper, our students learn to work on deadline, to work as a team, and to sharpen their leadership and journalistic talents. It strives to function as a medium for aspiring journalists, artists and writers, and as a public forum for student expression. All are welcome to participate as their schedules allow.

Our new format is online by typing this address in to your browser: themedallion.ndahingham.com.  Our online format allows for breaking news reporting, and for unlimited content. Our articles are updated on a timely basis and photos, links and other visuals are a more integral part of every story.
