On Friday November 3^rd the musical ‘The Wizard of Oz’ was performed in The Cushing Auditorium at Notre Dame Academy.  Everyone that contributed to the making of the musical did a fantastic job. The costumes were spectacular and the props were intricately designed. Everyone on stage spoke clearly and projected their voices loudly, which made the show easier to follow. The musical started off with Dorothy, her aunt, and her uncle at their house. As a tornado hits, Dorothy can’t find her way back to the house, so she settles for sitting down, only to wake up and find herself in The Land of Oz. Dorothy makes her way to Emerald City to find the wizard and get back home. Along the way she meets friends such as the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and the Lion. As they follow The Yellow Brick Road, they come across the Wicked Witch of the West who only gives them trouble and makes it harder to get to Emerald City. At the end of the musical, Dorothy finds her way back to her house with the help of her new friends and the wizard. If you didn’t see the musical ‘The Wizard of Oz’ make sure to go to next years musical as I’m sure it will be just as fantastic! Great job everyone!
