TASC+Awareness+Week

This week, Teens Acting for Social Change, TASC, is holding TASC Awareness Week. This years topic is Women’s Rights. All are invited to join the discussion and take part in the daily activities focused on female empowerment.

Monday: Signs of the Time

Faculty, staff and students will be wearing name tags with the names of famous women from history. Stop and ask them who they are to learn more about these famous female figures!

Information on the journey towards equality for women will be posted throughout the school.

Tuesday: International Women’s Day

March 8th is International Women’s Day! Come celebrate and watch He Named Me Malala in room 226 at 2:30. All are encouraged to stay for a follow-up discussion.

Wednesday: Hot Chocolate and Hot Topic 

 

Join us for a round table discussion about our own experiences with gender in/equality and our relationship with the word “feminism”.

Thursday: What do you infer about her?

Come and express your creativity with an activity on the myths and stereotypes about girls in room 226 at 2:30.

Friday: Tie-Dye Friday 

Dress down day! Wear tie-dye and enjoy a dance party and trivia at lunch. The day will also include and interactive banner signing to commemorate the week.
