A “Sweet” Ending

Students in Spanish IV celebrated the completion of their favorite video series, La Catrina, April 1st. La Catrina is a Mexican soap opera (telenovela) that students watch over 2 years here at NDA. They watch it in levels III and IV. “Students learn about Mexican culture, history, geography, and daily life through the actions (and mysteries!) of some main characters. Everyone is highly invested in the outcome and enjoyed a celebration at the completion of the full series and the last episode,” Mrs. Butler, Spanish Teacher and Chair of the WLD Department

The students in Spanish IV made posters and ate some cake with the main character on it.   Jamie and Carlos will live on in their hearts forever!
