Junior Retreat: Learning About Healthy Relationships

This Wednesday, the junior class boarded buses and traveled off-campus for their junior retreat at St. Mary’s in Scituate. The theme was healthy relationships with self, God, and others through the virtues of faith, hope, and charity. The day started with morning prayer and games. Later, we broke into smaller groups, and through more activities, we gradually learned more about ourselves and our classmates. Finally, we finished with liturgy in the chapel.

Thanks to our dedicated retreat team leaders and supporting teachers, we had a thoughtful and enjoyable experience, allowing us to grow closer to our classmates. We became closer with old friends, strengthened new relationships, and learned more about ourselves.

Personally, I think the junior retreat is my favorite retreat at NDA. I took away a lot of important messages, like what we see doesn’t always reflect who a person is, people will always be there for each other, and that love can lift people up. Thank you to the people who made this retreat possible! We hope to use these lessons in our last years at NDA.
