What was your high school experience like?

I went to high school in New York in a suburban area similar to NDA. In my junior year, I went to a boarding school in Switzerland which was not similar to the States. Going from the suburban New York school to boarding school was very different because boarding school was more controlling.

If you could move to any country where would you go and why?

I can’t choose! I would probably go anywhere in North America like the US, Canada, or Mexico. I like how there are so many opportunities in those countries and there is such a variety of environments like urban, suburban, rural, mountains, lakes, etc.

Did you always want to be an Environmental Science teacher?

I didn’t think about teaching until after college but I always knew I wanted to go into science. I thought about entering either the medical field or environmental science.

Why Environmental Science?

I love the outdoors and what activities they have to offer. I love how there are so many different animals, I find chemicals, air qualities, etc. very interesting too.

What was your college experience like?

I attended the University of Maryland and studied zoology and psychology. I enjoyed the courses there and going to DC.

What is your favorite thing about Environmental Science?

I love all the contributions people could be involved because the environment needs help!
