Top 7 Things To Do in a Study

With the new school year rolling in, you may be looking for ideas on how to spend your study periods. Here are seven things that can help you make the most of your time:

  1. Homework – Whether you’re catching up on last night’s homework or getting a head start on tonight’s, it is always a smart idea to get some work done. Find a quiet place, free from distractions.
  2. Study – Even if you spent an hour practicing for that math test, it doesn’t hurt to look over your notes one more time.
  3. Get academic help – If you’re struggling in a class, this is the time to talk to your teacher or any teacher. The Academic Learning Center is always open and filled with teachers willing to help.
  4. Catch up with friends – Getting work done is important, but relaxing is, too. This is the time to plan your weekend and talk about last night’s episode of “Teen Wolf.” A healthy balance of work and play is essential to succeed in high school.
  5. Eat – Enough said.
  6. Talk to your guidance counselor – Whether you’re looking to get more involved or just trying to get something off your chest, your guidance counselor is the best person to talk to.
  7. Visit campus ministry – Community service is very important to the NDA community, and your study periods are the best times to find openings and opportunities to volunteer.
