What color is in for nails?

What color is ‘in’ for nails?

Fall is here with crisp, fresh air and magnificent colors beginning to burst from surrounding foliage! Before splurging your funds on stylish new fall purchases and accessories, let’s discuss what was considered the ultimate in fall fashion from Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week during February 2014 as well as the more global experience of Fashion Week held internationally in several locations. Fashion Week February 2014 shows for upcoming fall/winter for the same year while September 2014 shows spring/summer garments for the following year, 2015. Designers dictate what will be fashion forward months in advance.

New York Fashion Week has an incredible listing of top designers whose impressions left the greatest impact on the New York Times editors. Some of these impressions were, “Pastel ombre bomber jackets in thick plush” and “Turtleneck sweater tops with chunky, sampler-scarf knit panels” as well as “curly mohair coats and hand-stitched, multi-paneled sweaters…in a soothing palette of earth tones and snow.” Who doesn’t love “an upscale hippie dress under a distressed bomber?”

According to http://www.nyunews.com, “The presence of faux textiles in the industry was apparent at various runway shows during the Fall/Winter 2014 New York Fashion Week.” Due to the harsh criticism behind the use of real fur, many designers are embracing faux fur, suede and vegan products in an effort to become more responsible as well as keeping their merchandise more cost effective for the average consumer. However, “Designer Marc Jacobs has previously sold coats labeled as ‘faux,’ only for researchers to later discover that these products contained real fur.” Shame on you Marc!

This fall season, the neutral makeup palette is in! According to www.instyle.com, beige, bronze and greige (grey and beige) hues, are this season’s idea of fall beauty. “Neutral tones don’t have to be versions of brown…they can be gray, black, even light pink.” Lighten up onyx eyeliner by dusting over it with a brown shadow to keep it “less harsh” and more natural. Use light eye shadow hues and a miniscule amount of mascara for that natural fresh-faced look. Coupled with bronzing crème, a healthy, natural way of giving your face that sun kissed luminous glow. Thick eyebrows are in by using a pencil one shade lighter. “Just fill in between the hairs with an angled point until brows look thick.” Top off your makeup by using a “rosy beige lipstick… with a gloss that has absolutely no shimmer to it.”

According to www.instyle.com, the perfect nail lacquers to polish off your fall look are antique metallic, royal eggplant, unassuming grays, shimmery blues, and hues of green, red and brown!

Complete your new chic style, while boosting your confidence, with a current new hairstyle! According to http://www.latest-hairstyles.com, what’s in is “cropped, edgy pixie cut, chin length bob, long smooth and sleek.”
