In case you missed it, we’ve launched a new series on our Instagram, the Student Spotlight Series! This series features members of the NDA student body who have been anonymously nominated by their peers. We share what makes them so special to our community, how they contribute to our school, and more.

Below is our most recent feature, Bridget Parsons ’20 interviewed by Claire Kennedy ’20. To see more of our features, follow our Instagram here!

Bridget is a Junior and is a beloved member of our community. She is a well-rounded student, a hardworking teammate and a friendly face at NDA. She is a three-season athlete participating in cross country, ski team and track. In school, her appreciation for the Spanish culture is seen through her involvement in Spanish club and as an IB Spanish student. Additionally, she shows interest in learning about political issues in her Global Politics class. Bridget, a peer mentor, is excited for upcoming freshmen orientation and to welcome incoming students. Her advice for incoming freshmen is “try to be confident in yourself because no one is going to call you out or make fun of you if you are confident in what you are doing”. She also tells freshmen that they should stay positive during their transition to NDA. At first, Bridget was indifferent to coming to NDA but ultimately decided to come since her sister had a such a positive experience here. She is so glad she came because of all of the amazing friendships and memories that she’s made. One of her favorite moments at NDA was being named NDA Superfans with her sister Meaghan. Starting next fall, they will be attending NDA sporting events and providing updates on their Instagram page. Bridget said that she is so excited to be a part of the Student Spotlight Series and appreciates how we all support and celebrate each other. She says this series is a perfect example of the NDA community.
