As is widely known in the NDA community, NDA is now an IB World School. International Baccalaureate, or IB for short, is a global approach to education. In an IB course, students delve deeper into the areas that they are studying and learn using real-life application. IB is beneficial, whether you are taking one class or are enrolled in the full diploma program. It allows students to acquire deeper knowledge in subjects that they are interested in or have already studied in a typical class setting. While taking the course, the focus is more on learning and less on grades. These courses show that the student is ambitious and takes risks, while learning critical qualities that will assist you in college and one day, in the workforce. Also, many universities offer college credit for IB courses, as generous as the possibility of receiving sophomore standing with the IB diploma. Overall, IB is a positive and innovative addition to our school and is a useful approach to learning that can change one’s perspective of thinking.
