Christmas Come Sooner

Christmas+Come+Sooner

Scents of pine needles and candles fill your nose,
Through many small shops the people go,
Children staring at toy-filled shelves,
Eyes twinkling and gaping mouths,
Candy canes so sweet on your tongue,
Cold crisp air fills your lungs,
Fuzzy winter sweaters warm you up,
Piping hot chocolate fills your cup,
Long tireless hours spent outside in the snow,
Inside families gather for favorite Christmas shows ,
Ornaments twinkle on the glistening Christmas tree,
The star on top shines bright for all to see,
Gift wrapping is endless as presents pile up,
The floor will be covered with the ribbon and paper soon enough,
Santa’s cookies and milk are prepared Christmas Eve,
Children go up to bed as guests start to leave,
Tired heavy eyes struggle to close as Santa nears,
He will visit, bringing presents and Christmas will be here.
