Around The World: London
London is one of the most iconic and visited cities and Europe. I am lucky to have had the experience of traveling to London multiple times, and each time that I go back, I have a new and different experience. London is also the home to some of the most notable monuments in the world.
The London Eye is a huge Ferris wheel that overlooks the city. The London Eye is a great way to see the amazing sites of London in approximately 25 minutes. Big Ben is a clock tower in the center of London, and when you’re around it, you will always know what time it is.
With only a short walk away, you will have arrived at Westminster Abbey. Westminster Abbey is the burial site of many famous British royals, authors, and more notable people: Queen Victoria, Shakespeare, and Issac Newton, just to name a few. Westminster Abbey is also the place that royal coronations and marriages have taken place. The most recent royal wedding that took place was the wedding of Prince William to Catherine Middleton.
A trip to London would not be complete without a visit to the regal Buckingham Palace, home of Queen Elizabeth II. Even if you are unable to get a tour of Buckingham Palace, if you are there at the right time you will be able to see the Changing of the Guard, which happens at around 11:30 am everyday.
A trip to London would not be complete if you didn’t have the famous Fish and Chips. Usually it is cod or haddock served with chips, or in America it is more like french fries. I also like to add a little bit of tartar sauce on mine. It is so good that your mouth will start to water! My favorite place to get Fish and Chips in London is Poppies Fish & Chips.
No matter what you do in London it is always a good time
