December 2, 2014 marked the second annual #GivingTuesday @NDA. NDA was challenged by our Board of Directors with a two-pronged goal; 600 items of food to be donated to the Hingham Food Pantry and 600 gifts to support NDA. If both parts of this goal were met, NDA would receive a $10,000 grant.

The food drive was led by Student Council and was a huge success – having food donations total over 1,000 items! One homeroom brought in over 90 items. After school students and parents loaded the boxes and boxes of food into several cars for delivery to the food pantry.

By 11:59pm on December 2, NDA had received 602 gifts. Gifts came in from all members of the community including parents, faculty, alumnae, past parents, and friends. We are so thankful for the outpouring of generosity.

NDA educates young women to make a difference in their community and they certainly did that on Giving Tuesday!
