National Honor Society Induction

On Wednesday, October 22, The Julienda Chapter of the National Honor Society inducted 66 new members. The inductees were recognized and honored for their excellence in the classroom and effort in their communities. Members stood proud with their colorful cords hanging from their necks, and flowers in hand, knowing that all of their hard work had paid off. The National Honors Society’s officers, Bridget Vazza, Hayley Doyle, Keeley MacAfee, and Julia Marshall lit the four symbolic candles of the society; each representing a requirement of the society- scholarship, service, character, and leadership. After the ceremony, inductees and their families celebrated in the Saint Julie Dining Hall with refreshments.

At the end of their junior year, girls with cumulative grade point averages of 3.7 or higher  were invited to apply to NHS. The society examines each applicant’s scholarship, service, character, and leadership. These four assets are embodied by every member of the Julienda Chapter of the National Honor Society. The inductees joined millions of other student participants in over 1,000 chapters of the National Honor Society.
